Threat to our democratic process must be challenged. “Evil will flourish when the good do nothing”.

The mindless attack on Sinn Fein T.D. Martin Kenny’s car outside his family home must be Condemned by all decent citizens on this Island.

Throughout our history, this country has faced many troubles and woes.To think now after all we have been through, that a certain element think they can intimidate, and wreck the good reputation of our country, by spewing their vile racism into the minds of our Nation.

They will not succeed . Irish people are far better and wiser. They know the likes of these acts are carried out by a handful of Individuals based on prejudice, anger and inhumanity to their fellow man. I stand in total solidarity with Martin and his Family.

special assignee relief Programme.

You would be forgiven by it’s coy name , for mistaking this as a third world relief programme, however it is far from that.

This little jem  is designed to aid  multinational executives earning up to 7 Million to write off 33% of their salary from income tax.

In 2016 alone, 18 of these special treated elites earned over 1 million Euros each.

This scheme cost our public service (tax payer) 18 Million  the same year.

Indeed to give an example one individual executive earned over 7 million in one year..

allowing a whopping 831,000 to remain in their bank account. On top of this ,these Multinationals are earning huge profits. They are well able to pay higher salaries without being subsidised by the tax payers of Ireland.

This unfair tax relief must be lifted off the shoulders of the workers who carry this  Country every day. Time for relief for working families not Millionaires.

S.M.E. being put to the sword by unscrupulous Insurance hikes .

The malpractice of dual pricing and loyalty penalties being used by the Insurance companies must be tackled Immediately by the Government.

This malpractice is harming our local economy. Despite all the sound bites Co. Wexford   has 2% above the National unemployment average. This is a County that depends on small enterprises for employment. S.M.E.’s are under  pressure from these   enormous unjustified insurance hikes. .

I spoke with a local business man who had to give up his business . He said “I had 3 vans on the road, I had to let one  driver and one Van go at first,  then my insurance almost trebled again and I had no choice but to close my business.” He had 4 people in full employment including himself.

This malpractice must be outlawed, Insurance companies many of them connected to multinational outlets are ripping off the profits of hard working people, Many of whom work 7 days a week and well over the 40 hour a week.
